Hi Matt & Will, is there any possibility you can use the alt model to cover the Australian Crown tournament this week, possibly with a tuesday model release? In a world where model edges go away fast, a week with two DP world tournaments feels like an increasingly rare opportunity to find some decent edges vs the books, both pre and in-tournament. Even if you can’t do match-ups, top finishes and props could be super helpful LIV Golf Props | Data Golf. Any model coverage of this alt tournament this week would be greatly appreciated!

Hello, yes it is possible, but would require a fair amount of work on our end. In case you didn’t see the note on the homepage, you are able to run a custom model and get finish probabilities for the Australian Open (this would require the Scratch Plus subscription, however).
edit: I wish it was as simple as just assigning a tournament to a specific feed/page, but unfortunately it’s not. At some point we will likely add the capacity to handle multiple DPWT events, but this week likely isn’t the week.
Hi Matt, Thanks for the reply. Ngl, that’s disappointing. It has always seemed to me like Datagolf regularly fully supports three or more tournaments a week as normal operating procedure, including even Korn Ferry tournaments. But it sounds like there isn’t the capacity to do that this week for a DPWT event, which is definitely a bummer. (If I had to guess, I’d say this is probably the first DPWT tournament with Rory in the field that Datagolf hasn’t covered in years or maybe ever…)
Yeah, we can handle up to 5 tournaments currently (PGA x2, DPWT, LIV, and KFT), the issue is specifically multiple DPWT events in the same week. It would not be too difficult to set up secondary DPWT event capability, but it is such an infrequent occurrence (the last time this happened was this same week 2 years ago) that we haven’t done it yet. Somewhat similar to how we don’t cover the Zurich fully (which Rory has played) or the Barracuda.
As for Nedbank vs the Aussie Open… we have course data for the Nedbank, plus the DPWT leaderboard last week for the Aussie PGA had all sorts of issues with its live updates and I assume that will continue this week in Australia.
May I enquire as to what weather is in the Aussie Open sims?
and is there a way to use the custom sim tool to simulate a group winner of select golfers, or does it only do finishing placement and cut? also, will it update after each round, or only good for pre-tournament?
Put everyone you don’t want in down to -100000 or w/e.

Sorry just saw this. It’s not included (but normally is for events that are being fully covered).
I also realized this week you could add 100 to the golfers you are interested in, which is easier for only a few golfers.
And no, it won’t update live.

Hi Matt & Will, separate site issue tonight: the prop tool for the Hero is displaying scores of players through round 1, but still displaying pre-tournament odds. Running prop tool for groups like top UK&I (Rose, Rai, Mac) and top Euro are returning pre-tournament odds for these groups when doing a sim, instead of updated odds for current scoring… can you re-run an update to see if it corrects? thanks in advance
(e.g. if you sim the whole field through the props tools, scottie is still at his pre-tournament +152 instead of current odds of -100 to win)
It has been re-run. There was a minor bug that caused the update to fail… not good. Thank you for the heads up.
