Correlation between The Reniassance Club course and The Old Course?

Hey guys, I’m wondering if there’s much correlation between the course played last week at The Scottish Open and the course played this week for The Open? On the broadcast Faldo said it really was a “true test of links golf”. I know the greens were pretty slow at The Reniassance Club… I imagine they’ll be much faster for The Open? Basically I’m wondering if we can take last week’s results and form as a sign of who is going to play well this week? If the courses are in fact similar and both a “true test of links golf” I think we can do just that.

Always tricky with the greens. I thought they were pretty slow today on the Champions Challenge. But of course it’s just monday. Can’t make them too fast if it’s windy though.

Thanks! Do you think the courses play similar? If not, what are the major differences?
