How do we know which one is correct?
Our numbers count the intermediate as a fairway hit. See “Stat Information” on top right of live tournament stats page.
Why did you guys decide to count the intermediate as fairway?
Hitting from the fairway vs the intermediate cut is basically the same. So the thought is that for predictive purposes, and for actually analyzing how a golfer’s round played out, it makes sense to group these together. Same reasoning applies to why we count fringes as greens hit.
