I was re-reading the blog post titled “Where to miss around TPC Sawgrass” and appreciate the angle the authors are able to explore with the full shot by shot data and their impacts on course features.
Is there a way to expand the analysis to other courses (and similarly with the course mappings like the viz blog of the 10th at Riviera)?
Are there plans to allow members to purchase an elevated plan that allows access to the coveted shot by shot data to do similar analyses themselves?
At the moment these hole of course mappings (we did one for Torrey Pines) require a fair amount of manual work to get the specifics correct on a given hole/course. So we can’t easily expand that work at the moment.
Unfortunately we do not have permission to distribute shot-level data. That is something that you have to get directly from the PGA Tour.
Thank you for the response. Is it possible to have all the statistics within the course table updated and the course history updated prior to the beginning of the 2026 season?
Yes, those pages are updated every week so they should be good for 2026. I will go through the courses for 2026 soon to ensure they are all included on the course history page.
