18 at LACC North. 80 yards wide, totally flat. Completely takes the tension out of the tee shot, basically turns the hole into a one shot hole where everyone gets a good lie from the fairway, but the longer guys get a head start.

I do not understand the argument that this is better than a normal width fairway where if you hit a drive off-line you are penalized.

Assuming Nagano finishes in the top 10 or 15 is it a more unlikely result than club pro Block at the PGA? Seems pretty similar. A journeyman on the JAPAN tour is probably pretty similar skill to a top US club pro.
