Just realized that I neglected to post this at the end of 2025. This was possibly the closest Old School Scout player of the year race of all time. IN ANY OTHER YEAR, Scottie Scheffler would have won, but simply put, winning the career grand slam is a pantheon level achievement, the ultimate accomplishment in the sport. This award cannot go to anyone other than Rory.
With that said, Scottie’s play was seriously impressive, and you would have to think that he is the heavily favored for earning his first OSS POY in 2026. We will see!
