Number of holes and music playing are such minor complaints as to not be worth mentioning. I don’t like music either but it’s way down the list. Shotgun starts were amazing, entire round down in half the time and you get to see like 3x more golf per minute
Just enjoy what’s left of LIV golf this year and enjoy the memories. I would be very surprised if they can keep it going into 2027 with no PIF funding and must be questionable that they complete all remaining events in 2026.
Think it’s just a case of when players jump ship and what sort of deal is offered by PGA/DP to how long it really lasts.

Will be very interesting to see what the paths back look like for different players. Early reporting seems to suggest it will be tougher for Rahm and Bryson than what was given to Koepka. Which makes sense, given they both rejected that offer.

I don’t understand why the PGAT wouldn’t want the best golfers to play on it?
Because a bunch of those guys sued the PGA Tour. A lot of animosity there, still.
But I’m sure they’ll find a way to bring the best players back. A number of the older players they’ll let fade into obscurity, though.
The new board members, from a quick Google search, seem to specialize in liquidation and distressed assets. One just got done consulting with Spirit Airlines.

Michael Block just qualified for the PGA Championship.
He has as many Top 15 in Majors as Joaquin Niemann.
Wish I knew about that last year when we argued for about 152 messages in this discussion about how Niemann is relevant (or not) in Majors.
Everybody seems to be wondering what will happen with Rahm and Bryson, haven’t seen anyone talk about Niemann. A little while ago he was the top gun on LIV and people were talking about him every major. Now nobody seems to care what’s his road back to the PGAT like haha.

Also, Cam Smith was at the top of his game when he left. Now, he certainly wouldn’t be one of MY choices to bring back to the PGA Tour (unless he’s dealing with an injury or something.)
I swear they offered him that “pathway back” in January mostly to stick it to Phil.

Now that LIV will be gone and they don’t have that outside pressure to satisfy Wyndham Clark and a few other princesses, I hope they get rid of that.
This is so boring.
Worst case, keep 3-4 signatures, smaller field no cut in the top courses. Like, do Pebble, API, Memorial and maybe another one.
There’s no storyline, no intrigue, no suspense.

Was thinking about Clark earlier this week, and how he was one of the names that would come up when people thought the players were trying to make the tour more of a “closed shop” to benefit themselves. And now he’s not even in these two signatures events less than two years later!
Yeah it’s pretty fascinating how he managed to do that.
It’s crazy too that he was fairly unknown, then won 2 times including US Open at LACC. He has a story that makes you like him and root for him. So he became fairly popular for a short amount of time.
But then he started acting like an idiot. Started asking for closes shop like you said. But why would he wish for that when he would have been left out the year before? Seems to me like he won 2 times, his head inflated he started thinking about himself like a top dog and forgot what it was like to be in the other group.
Then the Oakmont thing.
I also remember him trying to improve his lie before a drop, walking all over the rough where he would then drop his ball.
I guess karma did it’s job. Like you said, now he’s not in the signatures. He can’t complain he asked for it!!!
The closed shop argument was always pretty weak. Even this year, we are projecting only ~32 of last year’s top 50 to stay inside the top 50. All it takes is 1 mediocre year and you are out of the signatures.
