LPGA Coming Soon?

This is hardly relevant to anything happening now, other than that golf is going on, but is there any push for women’s golf getting their own DG page? Guessing it would have to be different since you can’t really compare with the lack of cross play, but I saw some other post a few years ago asked and it seemed like there was interest, but nothing planned. Any further look at this? Seems logistically quite difficult, but would be great!

We currently have a grad student working on putting together a database of scores from the main women’s tours (it’s a bit harder than the men’s game). The plan is to start by just having a ranking page and maybe profiles; hopefully have these up before the end of this year.

Sounds great, thanks. Looking forward to it!

The bookies will be delighted to hear this. Makes their job easier and will eventually remove nearly all the value from women’s golf betting like it has with men’s. Assume it wasn’t your intent when you started to improve bookmakers prices/profits from golf?

No plans to do any weekly predictions for women’s golf, just rankings and maybe profile pages.

That’s awesome to hear! A proper ranking page would be a great start for more visibility.

Yeah like I get you not wanting to lose your edge if you think DG helps bookmakers but DG is just as entitled to make money (through offering more services) as they are, especially if DG does it better. Also just a tacit admission your only have an edge because smarter modelers aren’t in the field
