Hi all. I’ve looked through the FAQ and tried to search the forum, but I’m struggling to find an answer to this question. Apologies in advance if I’ve overlooked it.
I’m looking at the pre-tournament predictions archive and I’m wondering what time the predictions were logged. Are they the DG closing lines or are they logged some period before the start? Thanks in advance!
They are DG closing lines. So technically can’t be compared to bookmakers, although I doubt it makes much difference. The later probabilities would account for tee times / weather, but everything else would be the same.
But still… not great. We have DG lines at every timestamp we have sportsbook odds, so it is something we could add to the betting archives, just haven’t done it.
Hi Matt, thanks for the quick response. Very interested to hear you keep a record of the DG lines from earlier in the week too. I’ve been collecting my own data to get an idea of how the DG odds change over the week to help me time my entry point, so I’d be interested to see the data if it ever finds its way into the betting archives. Completely understand that it is probably a low priority task though.
