When I download the CSV from a TSG query, there is a standard deviation per player for each category. Is this the standard deviation in round score for that player over time/rounds frame in the query? There is very little difference in SD for each player so not sure what the data is? Thank you

It is the standard deviation in that category (total, ott, app, etc.) over the selected sample, yes.
I am surprised how narrow the band of SD is for total. Is small variance (between players) what you would expect?
When you look at standard deviation from one year to the next for a given player, it’s not that predictive. So with a big enough sample, I wouldn’t expect a ton of variation in SD across players. But, if you look at 12 months for the top 150 for instance, I would say the variation in SD is pretty large: they range from 3.5 to 2.1 strokes. Most of this is not predictive of a player’s true SD going forward though.
